Proud Fulwood Business Celebrates 50 Years

Hannan Blinds are proudly celebrating 50 years in business this year. Their success can be attributed to their commitment to delivering a five-star service, combined with their high-quality manufactured products and their ability to keep up with market trends.
Ian Leather, owner of Hannan Blinds has been at the helm of the business for 25 years now and his passion is evident in everything he does.
Ian comments: “We have so many loyal customers and so much repeat business. Over the 50 years we have had friends, colleagues, children and even grandchildren of some of our original customers buying from us. The showroom is located in such a prominent place in the heart of Fulwood that we also attract a lot of passing trade and people love to come in to browse the exciting range of blinds and shutters we have on display.”

The lockdown period was utilised very effectively as the showroom team were fully trained in measuring and installations, so everyone’s expertise and knowledge is now interchangeable and the whole team has the skills to deliver the full service to every customer. It also makes the job much more rewarding for the team, who are able to go out to visit customers, advise, measure and carry out professional installations as well as work in the showroom.
During an average day the team will visit 20 to 24 potential customers in their homes to advise and take measurements and the vast majority of them will then place orders with Hannan Blinds.
Hannan Blinds have always manufactured their own products, hence being able to guarantee the quality of each blind and adapt to market changes. One area where growth has been rapid for the business is with new builds. With so many new properties being built in Fulwood and Cottam they have been asked to produce blinds for many of the new homes, and with people regularly recommending them to friends and neighbours this sector has developed at a swift pace.
The customer base has developed over the years with many loyal customers remaining a core element alongside the younger clientele purchasing their first or second homes.
With customers throughout the whole of Lancashire, Ian’s convinced they’ll be thriving for many more decades: “We are so confident about the quality of our products and the service we deliver to our customers.
