The daytime outlet shopping centre boasts over 40 famous name brands offering discounts of up to 60 per cent and a nautical-themed indoor and outdoor play area, all by the historic dockyard. This little outlet village is the perfect place to relax and indulge with the whole family, offers free parking and, importantly, is dog-friendly!
Open seven days a week, Affinity Lancashire (formerly known as Freeport Fleetwood) offers a wide range of men’s, women’s and children’s fashion, homeware, leisure, cosmetics, accessories and gifts, all at amazingly low prices. After shopping, take some time out to enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat at one of the fantastic on-site cafes. There truly is something for everyone.
Priding itself on dog-friendly shopping, many of the stores allow well-behaved dogs inside, giving shoppers the freedom to browse at their leisure with their four-legged friends. Dogs are also welcome in Costa Coffee and Poppies Tearoom. Affinity’s other cafe’s all allow dogs in their outside seating areas and Katie’s even offer pooches a free doggie sausage! There are also plenty of dog drinking stations and poop bag dispensers throughout the centre.
Accessibility is paramount at Affinity – all of its outlets are on one level apart from Sports Direct where you’ll find a lift in-store, while there is ramped access to the centre from its parking area, which has 32 Blue badge parking bays – among the 700 other free parking spaces. All the restrooms are easily accessible, and there is free wheelchair hire, while sensory “borrow” bags come equipped with accessories to help people who might find shopping stressful. This attention to detail helped Affinity win Tourism Business of the Year 2023 in the Wyre Business Awards and this year, they are finalists in the Tourism Business of the Year 2024.
As Christmas approaches, there are lots of exciting events to look forward to. There’ll be a free Santa’s grotto every weekend from 30th November, plus the 23rd and 24th December too. Free Festive events every Saturday and Sunday from 30th November including Meet the Gingerbread Man and Gingerbread Man Decorating, Meet the Grinch, Meet Buddy the Elf and don’t miss Santa’s Reindeer who will be visiting too!
For the younger visitors there’s the Little Cod’s Club – a free kids club that runs on the last Saturday of every month in Captain Cod’s Club House. Each month there’s a new theme to enjoy, with fun, games and creative crafts designed to enhance creativity, fine motor skills and self-esteem. This is a supervised event, offering families a free membership each month, bringing the community together to express their creativity, make new friends, create memories and take a home a treat! Simply come along to join in the fun.
