ROOMS WITH A VIEW

Across the Ribble Valley, we’re lucky to be blessed with a number of gob-smackingly gorgeous landscapes!

A favourite Ribble Valley view is the one from the historic village of Hurst Green over acres of fabulous farmland out to Pendle Hill.

While most only get a fleeting glimpse of this breathtaking vista as they drive along Whalley Road, the lucky residents of a new development of 30 homes in Hurst Green will be able to enjoy a long lingering look at it on a daily basis – one of many reasons why the company behind the development, luxury homebuilder Hillcrest Homes, has been inundated with enquiries.

Manning the hotline until the properties are released for sale on the 14th September is Hillcrest’s Sales Manager, Simone Milner (pictured right). We donned hard-hat and high-vis to catch up with her on site at ‘The Warren’ and find out what’s in store for those hoping to bag a plot at this exciting new addition to the village.

Who is The Warren aimed at?
Anyone and everyone! There are new homes for buyers at all life stages, so two bedroom bungalows, three bedroom terraced and semi-detached homes and four and five bedroom detached homes. By attracting a wide mix of buyers, from individuals through to families, Hillcrest can create a new community and one that will seamlessly integrate into existing Hurst Green life.

What will the new homes look like?
Every Hillcrest development is bespoke and designed from scratch so the homes are unique to their location. We’ve taken inspiration from the local architecture to offer a mix of styles – some resemble workers’ cottages and others look like barn conversions. However, they’re all built in the same materials – crisp ivory render and sandstone sourced from Leeming Quarry in Stonyhurst – and therefore complement each other.

You offer ‘an exemplary standard of specification’. How are you delivering this at The Warren?
Hillcrest has been building homes for over 30 years and are in tune with evolving trends, emerging technology and, most importantly, what homebuyers really want. They have developed partnerships with the most talented design houses and have hand-picked some gorgeous finishing touches for The Warren, including fabulous SieMatic kitchens with integrated Neff appliances, stunning Villeroy & Boch bathrooms with brassware by British designers, Vado, plus other finishing touches including porcelain tiles for the kitchen and bathroom floors, brushed chrome LED downlighters, USB ports on sockets and, because the development is south facing, photovolatics on the roofs.

When will the homes be finished (and how can I buy one)?
They’ll be released for sale on Friday 14th September at the Shireburn in Hurst Green from 2pm until 8pm. The first houses will be completed as early as February 2019. As well as taking reservations, Hillcrest will also be offering guests the chance to walk around the site so they can get a feel for it and admire the view! If you’re serious about buying, it’s an opportunity not to be missed.
