Cowman’s Famous Sausage Shop in the heart of Clitheroe produces the finest speciality sausages, which are to feature in the new Bowland Food Hall

The seasonings used in Cowman’s sausages have been handed down through three generations and specially blended with a variety of herbs and spices by the team on the premises, to give each sausage an individual flavour.

Watch out for ‘Sausage of the Week’ at the new Bowland Food Hall, handmade by Cowman’s using the finest quality locally sourced meat in all their products, with cuts of beef and lamb raised in the Bowland area and pork from outdoor reared pigs. Cowman’s are also supplying sausage meat to the Food Hall for their handmade products to be purchased at the deli counter.

Cowman’s have been an established butchers on their current premises for over 120 years, with current owners having worked there for a combined total of more than 30 years before taking the helm in May 2015.

With more than 70 different types including gluten free options and seasonal variations, the choice is vast. Their pork range includes mouth water suggestions such as pork and caramelised onion, honey pork, Castle pork made from wild boar, mead and black pudding and pork and apple. With speciality sausages including Moroccan lamb, beef and horseradish and wild venison, the list is deliciously endless!
