Season To Celebrate
Christmas festivities are in full swing at the Rum Fox in Grindleton with wonderful menus and a warm welcome awaiting customers old and new, writes Gail Bailey
It’s the season to celebrate and it starts on 21st November at popular gastro pub the Rum Fox with a return of their popular Wine Club: “We still have just a few spaces left for the event,” says Chef Patron Bob Geldeard. “The Wine Club evenings are always popular and include a five-course tasting menu, matched with perfect wines, sourced and selected by an experienced Master of Wines at Milestone Wines of Clitheroe.”
During its second Christmas since opening, Bob and his team are busy ensuring that the Rum Fox has everything in place so customers can relax over the festive season with a warm cosy atmosphere, to unwind, enjoy the amazing food and raise a glass with family and friends. Christmas Day is as popular as ever and was quickly fully booked, but there is still lots of opportunity to join the festive fun: “Throughout the whole of December there will be a set Christmas lunchtime menu to enjoy, which is also available in the evening on Wednesday and Thursday,” explains Bob. “We also have a fabulous night planned on Christmas Eve when customers can sample a sensational seven-course set menu.”
On Sunday 8th December Santa will be in the Rum Fox entertaining diners with lots of swing music and Christmas songs to start the party season in style.
The Rum Fox will be bringing in 2025 by hosting a black-tie dinner on New Year’s Eve: “Customers will be enjoying fizz on arrival, seven special courses followed by a party in the Garden Room to celebrate the arrival of the New Year,” says Bob.
The pub will then be closed from New Year’s Day and for the rest of the week – as Bob and the team take some time to relax and recharge ready to continue creating the wonderful dishes and welcoming atmosphere they have quickly become renowned for.
The Rum Fox isn’t only the perfect place to dine, it’s also the perfect present idea, with gift vouchers on offer to treat someone special: “Customers can call in, telephone or buy online,” says Bob. “Our vouchers are for any value and are the ideal gift – we can also post them direct to the recipient with a greetings card too.
