September With The Freemasons
The Freemasons is in the Good Food Guide for the fourth year running
The Freemasons pub run by Steve Smith and his fiancée Aga is one of only two in the UK in the Sunday Times’ Top 100 and the only pub in Lancashire. Head Chef, Matt Smith and his brigade’s clever cooking and no-nonsense portion sizes have helped the Freemasons achieve recognition in the Waitrose Good Food Guide and many mentions in numerous national newspapers celebrating their inclusion in the Top 50 Gastro Pubs in the UK. The Freemasons’ latest accolade is to be included in the Good Food Guide for the fourth year running.
Steve is excited at the success they have achieved so far and believes the sky is the limit for the Freemasons. Their fabulous summer menu is tremendous value at £15 for two courses and £20 for three. Working with celebrated wine consultant Miles Corish, a new wine list has been developed aimed at bringing the finest quality wines to match Steve’s food. But there is also the insistence that the wine is the best value for money around.
This Lancashire inn boasts a menu that fuses local ingredients and a love of the classics with world-class flavours. But don’t be fooled, it is still a proper village pub with Smith and his team entrenched in the local community.
The Freemasons is a vibrant and exciting place to be, with lots of things happening over the next month or so. The pub will be celebrating East meets West on the 21st September with guest chef Victor Yu from Yu at Alderley Edge fusing his talents with Steve’s to produce an exquisite five-course culinary journey!
Plans are well under way for an exciting new kitchen space being built and also four luxury bedrooms that will be with us in the New Year. So the die is cast for exciting times at this very special place where Steve and his team weave their magic!
