Imitation, it is said, is the best form of flattery and it would seem that The Helping Hands Group is setting the highest of standards, to which other cleaning companies can only aspire

As with all successful businesses, it is the people behind them that make them stand out from the crowd and at The Helping Hands Group it is the enthusiasm and passion of owner Suzanne Waring that drives the company upwards and onwards.

Now employing 36 people, this independent company has a team of people who are just as passionate as Suzanne, when it comes to providing a first class service. Hard-working and ultimately professional, Suzanne meets prospective clients so she can personally assess how Helping Hands can assist – whether that’s domestic or commercial cleaning, home care or property maintenance.

By sheer demand, Suzanne has expanded the business, which she founded in 1999, and has grown it into a thriving company that is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail.

“Inviting someone into your home to clean and maintain it is a big decision. We understand that – and it is also a matter of trust. I know that when we visit prospective clients, we tick all the right boxes when I explain who we are and what we do.”

“All the team are enhanced DBS checked and meticulously trained.”

“As an employer I invest in people and in return they want to do their best. They buy into what we do and their enthusiasm is reflected in their work, they pass it on to the customer.”

Helping Hands can do as much or as little as you require from a one-off super-deep clean, a regular weekly or monthly clean or assistance with anything from laundry to shopping, it can be done! Suzanne will always visit clients at home to discuss requirements and explain the services that Helping Hands provides. If you require a regular clean, you can expect to see the same faces too so the team becomes familiar with your lifestyle and your family household: “People live very different lives,” says Suzanne. “A busy family household might just want us to tidy up after the children, alternatively someone might need a help with the washing and ironing. Everyone is different and we totally understand that,” says Suzanne, whose team formulates a bespoke plan for each customer.

No matter how small or large your company, Helping Hands can help clean and maintain your property and offices. A clean and tidy workplace says a lot about your business! To ensure it is kept spick and span, the team at Helping Hands can clean, vac and tidy – they can even help with maintenance no matter how big or small the job.

Suzanne’s husband Phil is head of the Helping Hands property maintenance side of the business and he can turn his hand to anything! From window cleaning to mowing the lawns, landscaping and laying patios, for commercial and domestic customers. He carries out all property maintenance inside and out epitomising Helping Hands’ ‘can-do’ ethos.

Helping Hands is also developing a ‘fast-track’ cleaning and maintenance facility to service holiday homes. They work with a number of Ribble Valley holiday homes, providing a quick turnaround, changing beds, cleaning and stocking the fridge, before the next holidaymakers arrive. Phil also provides a property maintenance service too, keeping the lawns and decking areas neat and tidy.

Helping Hands recognises that placing a family member in the care of others is a big decision. “Giving Helping Hands the responsibility of cleaning your home is one thing, but giving us the responsibility of caring for a member of your family is a huge matter of trust and we recognise that,” explains Suzanne, who ensures that the same care team visits the client on any given day, and that their travelling time is not included in the allotted ‘care time’. “We want to do it right. Our clients get what they pay for – care.”

Whether that’s taking someone to a doctor’s appointment, helping with the shopping, meal-making or companionship, the friendly team at Helping Hands can assist. They can also provide ‘fill-in’ help if a regular carer or family member is on holiday.

Covering the whole of Lancashire, Helping Hands offers 100 per cent satisfaction guarantee.

“The team works extremely hard on everything they do,” says Suzanne. “Everyone understands what this business is about as they have all come through the ranks and they know how it works.”

“Whether we are cleaning or caring for someone, we commit ourselves totally to providing exactly what our customers want – it’s all about them.”
