SINGLES SUPPER CLUB…

For like-minded single men and women who enjoy socialising, sparkling conversation and fabulous food, Live Ribble Valley’s new supper club could be just the thing for you

The Ribble Valley is renowned for its great food, fine dining restaurants and rural inns. There is also a wealth of interesting places to visit, cultural attractions and country walks that will take you to places with breath-taking views and pretty villages. But what if you don’t have a friend or partner with whom you can enjoy such outings?

Not many people venture out for supper or go to watch the latest blockbuster at the local cinema on their own – it’s much more fun if you have a group of friends with whom you can share the enjoyment.

That’s why, here at Live Ribble Valley, we are dipping our toes in the water and launching a supper club for over 40 singletons, who want to meet new friends and enjoy great food.

The club, for like-minded men and women, is all about friendship, companionship and enjoying intellectual conversation over a fabulous dinner – and who knows, as the supper club evolves, with your feedback it could include other social and cultural events – whatever you want!

Live Magazines’ MD Tedd Walmsley explains: “The supper club is in its embryonic stage, but we have three evenings lined up that we think will be really popular. I think there is a real demand for something like this in the Ribble Valley.”

“There are so many professional, single people over 40 who struggle to meet new friends, either because they are too busy, or they don’t want to go to places on their own.”

“With a supper club, you commit to just one evening of great food and conversation with like-minded people. Everything is arranged for you. You could be enjoying a glass of fizz on arrival, experiencing the best steak in the Ribble Valley and be introduced to a new group of friends!”

“It will be an exclusive but relaxed evening that represents great value for money too.”

“We are testing the demand as nothing like this exists in the Ribble Valley and we are really looking forward to seeing the supper club evolve.”

The supper club is all about making new friends and enjoying superb food and sparkling conversation. As an up-market dining club, you will meet new people over dinner at some of the Ribble Valley’s most popular venues such as Yu Copster Green or the renowned Red Pump at Bashall Eaves.

To be held on Thursday evenings, the supper club will be hosted by Lynn Scholes, who will introduce guests to each other and keep the conversation flowing.

During the course of the evening Lynn will encourage diners to ‘go Australian’ – moving diners around so everybody has the opportunity to meet a wider group of people.

Go Australian is so called as it was first introduced back in the early days of dinner clubs when they were first established in Australia and it has since proved to be an extremely popular and fun way for everybody to get to know each other.

Ribble Valley supper club is purposefully designed not to be a dating agency – it is for discerning unattached people keen to meet interesting new friends, male and female, over a glass of wine and dinner.

If you have a busy life and a demanding job you will know how difficult it can be to find time to socialise. With our supper club you can relax knowing that you will meet lots of interesting people in exclusive surroundings.

Starting in February, there will be a series of supper club nights lined up – all you have to do is register your interest to find out more.
