With a definite ‘wow’ factor, Precious has moved into stunning new premises just a stone’s throw away from their original shop in Whalley.
Featuring huge windows and breathtaking views over Whalley Nab, the new boutique is the perfect backdrop to display the Scandi-inspired fashion favoured by Precious founder and owner Marianne Hyde.
The store was launched back in 2009 by Marianne, who has an international buying focus that has, over the years, developed into a much-loved collection of European fashion houses including Dutch brand YAYA, known for soft fabrics and toned-down colours.
Precious is the only YAYA ‘shop in shop’ in the UK, as Marianne explains: “YAYA is a fantastic brand for co-ordinates that are great quality, stylishly comfortable and always look fabulous on women of all ages.”
Other premium brands featured at this sleek new store are Copenhagen brand Henriette Steffanson, House of Inoa, bohemian-inspired Miss June and Danish designer Ilse Jacobsen, a name associated with beautiful functionality and quality: “All the autumn winter collections are arriving now and there are some lovely pieces that are perfect for layering,” says Marianne, who hand-picks the collections personally.
From the latest fashionable jeans to stylish Scandinavian jewellery by Swedish-based Edblad and Danish brand Pilgrim, the Precious collection is displayed at its very best in the new store: “Our new premises work really well,” says Marianne. “It was a blank canvas when we moved in which was fantastic as we can really make the best of our collections. We’ve had some great feedback too!”
Also stocking the latest outerwear, shoes and boots, Precious has become renowned throughout the region for exclusive collections and first-class customer service – as well as the offer of a chilled glass of fizz to enhance a retail experience that is made extra special by Marianne and her knowledgeable team.
And, while social media and online shopping plays a part in promoting the Precious brand, in-store the collections look beautiful alongside fashion and interiors accessories including exclusive candles and diffusers from Harrogate.
Visitors are encouraged to wander through the store with its clean lines and light and airy ambience, resulting in an ultimately pleasurable, shopping experience, as Marianne concludes: “We moved in at the beginning of the summer and it has made a huge difference to our customers and to the team here.
“Our other shop was a series of rooms whereas this is very open, so it makes shopping much more enjoyable. We love it here!”
