Sitting in the heart of Fulwood, it’s another busy day at award-winning Sharoe Green Dental Practice. The family-run business has been operating for 20 years and exciting times are afoot for Business Manager Lesley Holden and team.
Offering a wealth of dental care and cosmetic treatments, the team have recently discovered they have been shortlisted for a number of dental awards, celebrating their dedication and forward-thinking approach to the world of dentistry.
As well as being a Platinum Elite Invisalign Provider, the team offer a range of treatments including dental implants, veneers, teeth whitening and hygiene therapy.
The practice also serves clients from as far afield as Birmingham and Leeds who have travelled specifically for Icon White Spot Treatment, designed to remove white spots on teeth for an aesthetically pleasing smile – a treatment not widely available in the country. Traditionally these white spots would have to be covered with either composite filling material or porcelain veneers, requiring drilling and injections to remove the white part of tooth. Instead, Icon White Spot Treatment uses the scientific process of resin infiltration, allowing the white spot to blend in with the surrounding tooth to provide a beautiful, natural smile.
Practice Manager Kate Holden, commented: “Invisalign braces, Icon treatment and implants are some of our most popular procedures and with these treatments you see a real transformation – not only to the smile itself, but to a person’s entire attitude and demeanour. With Invisalign, we have completed over 500 cases and we have invested in an iTero scanner, which eliminates the need for impressions – we offer an instant indicator of what your teeth can look like, which is proving to be incredibly popular.”
Sharoe Green Dental Practice offer monthly membership from just 46p a day. This includes dental and hygiene appointments, as well as a discount on treatments and free check-ups for children. Practice members are able to take advantage of out of hours appointment availability and a range of insurance benefits. Membership plans for students and denture patients are also available. Alternatively, clients can visit on a one-off basis, depending on their needs and requirements.
With an online booking system, the practice is continuously evolving to meet the changing needs of clients.
Continuing to expand and use the latest technology – such as a specialist microscope for root canal treatments – Lesley and the team heavily invest in the professional development of staff and internships for trainees, as well as actively taking part in community and charity events.
Recently the practice completed dementia training with the Alzheimer’s Society, becoming Dementia Friends. Staff from Sharoe Green Dental Practice also visit local primary schools, teaching students about the importance of oral hygiene and looking after teeth and gums.
“Our service is bespoke and personal and we really get to know our clients,” explains Kate. “We have people come and visit us time and time again and because we’re established in the community and have honed our reputation and built trust. We feel we can offer the best possible care and attention and we have a knack of putting our patients at ease, no matter how anxious!”
Opening late on Monday evenings and offering a Saturday practice every month, Sharoe Green Dental Practice also offers payment plans for those who undergo more expensive treatments with 0% interest for the first 10 months.
The team are also proud to announce that restorative consultant Meena Ranka has also joined the practice.
Specialising in more complex cases including the treatment of patients with congenitally missing teeth, oral rehabilitation of head and neck cancer patients, implant dentistry and periodontics, Mrs Ranka splits her time between Sharoe Green Dental Practice and Royal Preston Hospital across the road.
