Fuelmizas in Ribchester tells us all about the new generation of pellet stoves about to take the UK by storm and why they provide a great heating choice
Family run business Fuelmizas know a thing or two about keeping your home warm without spending a fortune on running costs. Nick Astley along with his wife Suzanne, owners of the business, are not only experts on wood burning stoves but also on the latest new pellet stoves about to arrive in UK.
Jøtul is one of Fuelmizas’ leading brands currently on display in the Ribchester showroom. World-renowned for its award-winning portfolio of cast iron wood burning and multifuel stoves, it has just launched a collection of state-of-the-art new pellet stoves, and it’s these new arrivals that they will be shortly unveiling.
Nick explains why he is excited to introduce these pellet stoves to customers and why this type of stove is only just gaining the recognition it deserves in the UK: “Europe and most Scandinavian countries have used pellet stoves for decades. They have always been well respected and sought-after in so many countries but not here in the UK. Traditionally the only UK available pellet stoves were difficult to fit and were large, ugly big black boxes which made a great deal of noise – none of which appealed to the discerning homeowner.
“The new pellet stoves from Jøtul have turned all of those issues on its head – these are beautifully styled, clean burning, cost effective and very quiet. Each cleverly conceals the latest technology and innovations for quiet combustion, eco-conscious warmth and fabulous flame views. Designs vary from Scandi sleek through to retro good looks, all of which will be stunning focal points in both a contemporary modern or traditional classic home.”
The stoves have been developed to specifically deliver efficient and clean combustion, with over 90 per cent efficiency, as well as emission levels that rank among the lowest in the market, all proudly carrying the ECODESIGN 2022 labels and DEFRA exemption.
They are also one of the most effective, low environmental impact solutions to heat a home, providing homeowners with substantial savings on heating bills. Wood pellets are also an organic fuel comprised of compressed sawdust and are 100 per cent natural, free of chemical additives and manufactured from waste product. Each stove will burn the complete pellets with very little ash for removal, helping to keep any maintenance to a minimum.
Auto ignition and auto draft management are also key features in the pellet stoves, along with the ability to programme heating times remotely from your smartphone’s app. Simply set the timings on your phone or tablet to start your stove before you arrive home and programme your preferred temperature. It’s so easy to set your stove to start before you get out of bed – no more waking up to a chilly house!
