Supporting Our Local Economy

Our amazing Ribble Valley pubs, inns and restaurants are adapting to new restrictions to bring us some very tempting offerings

Looking on the positive side, we can still enjoy a meal or drinks out with members of our household, so quality family time is the order of the day and the fantastic restaurants and pubs across the Ribble Valley are making it well worth venturing out!

As an area renowned as a foodie paradise, you can be sure of great food and drinks, menus featuring amazing local produce and a warm welcome when you support our local businesses, who are working harder than ever to give diners the very best experience.

With many of us working from home currently, the lack of commute means we could potentially be seated for dinner in our favourite restaurant by 5.30pm even during the week, really making the most of our evenings after work.

Some local pubs and restaurants offer an early bird menu or prices that reduce the earlier you dine and with 10pm closures it makes sense to have an early start.

As an alternative you will also find that some restaurants and pubs have started offering additional take-out services so diners can enjoy dishes from the menu in their own home. In addition to this if you do choose to eat out, some establishments are offering an ‘after-hours’ take-out service whereby diners can order a dessert, wine and beer to take home at 10pm and extend their evening that way.

Some pubs and inns are encouraging diners to enjoy a long lunch at weekends, offering a real foodie experience with multiple courses – a fantastic idea, letting you relax, enjoy great food and really make the most of your Saturday or Sunday!

While establishments have had to reduce their capacity with fewer tables, you might find bookings easier to make especially for early or mid-week evenings. We all deserve to treat ourselves right now and a meal out is a fabulous way to get out of the house and away from the home office.

There are many different ways you can enjoy local food and drink in a safe environment. All you need to do is stick to the rules – and enjoy!
