FOR THE PERFECT DAY

Samlesbury Hall is the most magical of wedding venues, with so much to offer the modern bride and groom, writes Gail Bailey

The magnificent black and white medieval building that is Samlesbury Hall is a truly enchanting venue, and perfect for the most important day of your life. One of the most stunning stately homes in Lancashire, and open all year round, it really is a fabulous place to celebrate with family and friends.

“We offer an exclusive service and are happy to ensure our wedding parties can have a completely bespoke ceremony and celebration,” explains Lauren Catterall, Deputy Director at Samlesbury Hall. “Our motto is ‘if we can do it – we will’, the whole team want to make sure the bride and groom have the best day, and one they will never forget.”

This can be formal or informal and with the capacity to hold everything from the ceremony, the wedding breakfast through to the evening celebrations there is no need for guests to travel anywhere else.

“We have three beautiful licensed ceremony rooms, The Parlour, The Whittaker Room and The Great Hall, so whether you have a small party of 20, or up to 250 we can cater for your needs,” Lauren goes on to explain.

The ancient grounds provide the most perfect backdrop. Guests will enjoy the grandeur and gorgeous location, and with immaculately manicured lawns, woodlands and an incredible oak panelled interior, Samlesbury Hall is a photographer’s dream.

The award-winning chefs source the finest local produce, which can be a traditional style wedding breakfast or something more contemporary.

“Our chefs want to make the wedding menu a memorable one and offer a wide range of food to choose from, including even the modern option of something from our Street Food Shack or their favourite pizza toppings from our woodfired pizza oven,” Lauren explains.

The Bridal Suite, situated in The Gatehouse, with a beautiful lounge and luxurious dressing room area offers the perfect space for bridal party preparations and with its oak slipper bed and roll top bath, double shower, complimentary fizz and sweeties, it is also pure romance to end a perfect day.

“The wedding guests are able to stay here with us too,” says Lauren: “We can offer a truly unique stay in our Hamlet which houses 28, fully en-suite Shepherd’s Huts, nestled amongst a festoon lit historic woodland – a magical end to a magical day.”
