WHALLEY WARM & DRY

WE MEASURE
At Whalley Warm & Dry our specially trained boot-fitters discuss with you what type of footwear you would like, the activities you need the footwear for and any pre-existing foot concerns. We then take ten detailed measurements to identify your foot length, width and volume. We interpret the measurements taken and assess the foot shape.

WE ADVISE
Once the measurements are completed, we use our in-depth knowledge to recommend the most suitable footwear for your feet and chosen activity. We have footwear available in five different widths and half sizes, which gives us many different fitting options. We are the largest stockist of Altberg walking boots and have models exclusive to us. We also stock Meindl, Hanwag and Scarpa footwear.

WE CUSTOMISE
Using specialist machinery, footwear can be gently steamed and stretched for a custom fit. This process is done in store, whilst you wait and only takes about 10 minutes. Customising the fit of the footwear in this way is particularly helpful for people who suffer from painful bunions, squeezed little toes or heel spurs.

THE FOOT & INSOLE SPECIALIST

WE EXAMINE
At The Foot & Insole Specialist we take time to discuss your feet and symptoms, followed by an in-depth biomechanical assessment of your feet and ankles. We assess the muscles and bones in the feet and the way your feet function, including an analysis of the dynamic pressure distribution of your feet as you walk over our state-of-the-art pressure plate.

WE STABILISE
Following the biomechanical assessment, we hand-build custom made insoles, to support, stabilise, gently realign and cushion your feet. A carbon copy of your feet is taken using state-of-the-art thermo-moulding technology, the insole is then hand-finished with reinforcement, stabilisation and corrections to help your feet to function better and alleviate high pressures.

WE ALLEVIATE
By supporting and stabilising the feet, custom made insoles can help to reduce pain in the forefoot, arch, heel, ankle, knee and back. Our assessments and custom made insoles have helped to alleviate the symptoms of a range of medical conditions including plantar fasciitis, morton’s neuroma and arthritis.
