Libby Faulkner meets Becki Chanter and the team at The Beauty Bar, Clitheroe to find out about their new Beauty Lab Glycolic Peels. Photography: Kirsten Platt
With 13 years’ experience in the beauty industry, Becki Chanter knows a thing or two about treatments that work.
“I have worked with so many different skin treatments throughout my time as a beautician,” Becki explains.
“However we are so excited to have the new Beauty Lab Glycolic Peels available as it’s something completely different to what’s on the market in this area.”
“The peel is a unique resurfacing treatment which combines glycolic acid and pomegranate enzyme for optimum effect. It leads to softer, smoother skin and a brighter complexion and is great for acne prone or pigmented skin. It’s not chemical or abrasive and is a really deep exfoliation.”
Joanne is the newest member of the team at The Beauty Bar and with 10 years’ experience in salons and spas across the UK as well as working on celebrity cruise ships, she is no stranger to the industry.
“Beauty Lab is a British brand that’s very popular on Harley Street so we are really pleased to have brought the treatments to the Clitheroe salon. They are paraben free and against animal testing which is so important for a brand these days. I am thrilled to be starting my journey at The Beauty Bar and will be offering all the usual treatments from nails and tans to waxing.”
Sophie has been with The Beauty Bar since it opened and specialises in SVS lashes which launched in the salon just over a year ago.
“SVS lashes are one of the very latest techniques, they combine all the best aspects of so many lash treatments to give fuller and longer lashes. The APD technique creates fans from each lash made of three to six different lengths that gives a really fluttery and fluffy lash look.”
Sophie has also trained in the new facial peels and will be doing these alongside lashes and an extensive range of classic beauty treatments.
Finally Dr Hannah Miraftab, a qualified dentist that has worked at The Beauty Bar for three years and has over five years’ experience in facial aesthetics. Hannah has had extensive training in dermal fillers on Harley Street, London with Dr Rikin Parekh, a respected leader in the industry.

BEAUTY LAB BRAND LAUNCH
The Beauty Lab range will be launching on Wednesday 28th March with the Beauty Bar team hosting an evening event from 7pm including a demonstration.
Booking on the night means a £15 discount as the facial will be £30 rather than £45. The introductory offer after the night will run at £35 throughout April.
