Fiona Sharp’s respected physiotherapy practice features a trusted team of industry professionals
Spending time listening to patients and making detailed assessments, the team at Sharp Physiotherapy are all experts in their specialist fields.
Leading the team is Fiona Sharp, who is a fully qualified physiotherapist and also has a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Fiona specialises in sports injuries – whether that’s from running or cycling, bowling or swimming.
“We specialise in hands-on physio and we spend time on in-depth assessments of patients, making sure we get the correct diagnosis. Working with the patients, we formulate an effective treatment plan. We can also discuss with the patient how they can help themselves.”
New to the team at Sharp Physiotherapy is Danielle Burke, an upper limb and hand therapist, who offers physiotherapy specialising in treating a variety of problems from tendon injuries to postural issues.
Catherine Lees specialises in lower limb injuries and can help treat patients who have undergone joint replacements or have had a sports injury, while Dr Nicky Spence specialises in neuro-rehabilitation helping people who have had a stroke, Parkinson’s Disease or MS.
A vital element to the service Sharp Physio provides is the availability of home visits and they also offer a fast-track, self-referral service enabling patients to be treated swiftly. The practice also offers evening appointments.
Running alongside the specialist physiotherapy treatments, Sharp Physio also has clinical Pilates and core stability classes, which run four days per week in the daytime and evening. There are also one-to-one classes available.
Offering acupuncture to alleviate pain, the team at Sharp Physio have decades of industry experience between them making them one of the most trusted teams in the region.
