The stunning wedding venue at Gisburne Park Estate will impress right from the very beginning, Olivia Beaty explains why
Right from the start, anticipations builds as you approach the historic lodge gates which greet you on your arrival. The scenic driveway winds through the beautiful parkland to a parking area close to the walled gardens. Upon arrival at the car park decorated golf buggies meet you and whisk you down to a fairy tale setting. There is a marquee and bridal house down by the river with cliffs, bridges and trees illuminated by coloured light.
Owned by Guy Hindley and family, Gisburne Park Estate is located in Gisburn on the outskirts of Clitheroe. The elegant marquee venue is nestled within the 1,000 acres of stunning Ribble Valley countryside next to the River Ribble. The venue really does offer the perfect photographic backdrop featuring picturesque bridges, cliffs and firepits.
The marquee, which can accommodate 150 guests, features an arrival entrance, evening dance area and bar. Gisburne Park Estate want to help to make your wedding unique and therefore only offer a limited number of weddings to take place in this magical setting, this enables the team to offer a bespoke experience, tailored to your exact requirements.
“We want to make it as stress free as possible for all of our couples, and hire our venue for seven days to ensure there is plenty of time for entertaining guests and those all-important finishing touches,” explains Sarah McGrail, Director of Weddings.
The happy couples can marry in the ancient and exquisite St Mary’s Church in Gisburn, which lies on the edge of the estate. After exchanging vows take the short drive back to the venue to hold your reception.
Conveniently located near the marquee is Riverside House which is home to the exclusive bridal party accommodation. The three bedroomed house offers a large kitchen, two lounge areas with a separate dining room, two family bathrooms, an impressive bridal suite and a large dressing room. You are welcome to a seven night luxury stay here, which lets you relax and prepare for the big day in plenty of time.
Guest accommodation is available for over 200 people at Ribblesdale Park in their luxury lodges and historic cottages and houses all of which have private hot tubs. Family and friends can enjoy the park facilities, which include a heated outdoor pool and a gourmet café.
