Virtual Culinary Experience

Easter is on the horizon so why not learn and develop new culinary techniques alongside one of the country’s leading chefs?

Like other celebrations, food is often at the centre of the occasion and Easter will be no exception. So, here’s a great way to wow your family or partner by practising your culinary skills alongside the very best!

Luxury hotel and Michelin-star restaurant, Northcote, recently revealed the date for a one-off live, virtual cooking experience with executive chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen. In readiness for the Easter break or any other family celebration you have coming up, culinary connoisseurs will be able to reserve a seat at the chef’s table and will be invited to join Lisa in preparing a five-star gourmet meal from the comfort of their own kitchen. What a great way to learn and develop your culinary expertise!

Following the phenomenal popularity of Northcote’s home delivery boxes and the restaurant’s cookery school, Lisa and the team at Northcote have combined both experiences to create a limited number of Seat at the Chef’s Table Boxes.

The menu for the night, designed to serve two, includes Northcote’s signature cheese bread and two snacks smoked salmon, salmon caviar, lemon, caper and Northcote sausage roll. The main course, which will be prepared alongside Lisa, is a delicious dish using seasonal ingredients including new season lamb, lamb sausage, young leek, sheep’s curd and wild garlic pearl barley. The evening will end on a sweet note with a nostalgic favourite – lemon meringue gateaux, smashed meringue and runny cream, as well as Northcote handcrafted chocolates.

Put on an apron and virtually step into the intimate world of Northcote with an introduction from Lisa who, will have you raring to get cooking! Share snacks together while Lisa talks through the ingredients and the running order of the night and then get stuck into the main course and the dessert. There will be an opportunity to answer questions along the way too.

The Seat at the Chef’s Table Boxes offer a unique experience and are available for home delivery nationwide. There are 50 spaces available, which can be reserved via the Northcote website on 18th March from 12 noon. Each gourmet box will be delivered on Thursday 25th March, along with details on how to join the virtual event.

Seat at the Chef’s Table Boxes are priced at £195, which guests can cook along with Lisa, from 7pm to 8.15pm on Friday 26th March
