What Car?

Vehicle registration plates change twice a year in the UK with the new registration out in September

Buying a new car is a unique experience and it’s likely to be one of the biggest purchases you’ll ever make. While most of us look forward to the process of first deciding what car, what features to have and then obviously the colour, it can be incredibly daunting for others. Especially given that today there is so much choice of makes and models, as well as petrol, diesel and now the ever increasing in popularity, hybrid or electric cars.

March and September are the two months when new registrations are released, and many new car buyers prefer to wait until then to ensure they genuinely have got a brand-new car. So now is the time to get thinking about a new car for September.

But before you buy, there’s a lot to think about. Are you going to trade in your old car or sell privately? How do you intend on financing the vehicle? With lots of deals around on personal contract plans and hire purchase agreements, cash isn’t always king.

As it’s such an important decision, it’s best to make sure you look around and do your research. From looking at your lifestyle and deciding which car is most suited to you, to deals and discounts on optional extras. Buying a new car should be an exciting experience and choosing the right one will make driving that extra bit special.
