Bringing The Outside In

From conservatories and orangeries to windows and doors, the product range available is vast, so it makes sense to check out all the options that could make your home super-secure and energy efficient

Now that spring has arrived, we will definitely be seeing warmer weather and that usually signals more time in the garden. But, sometimes our English weather can be unpredictable so it’s always good to have somewhere that brings the outside in to our homes so we can enjoy fresh air and be sheltered all at the same time.

If you have an old-style conservatory it is the perfect time to consider upgrading to a more substantial orangery style build or it may mean simply replacing the roof with the very latest technologically advanced warm roof system that will result in a room that you can use every day of the year. The original glass or polycarbonate roof that made your conservatory hot in summer and cold in winter will be removed and replaced with a specially designed tile roof, making it feel like an extension but at a fraction of the cost.

Whatever you choose to do, convert or extend, there are respected companies out there that can visit you safely and advise on what can be done in terms of the build, windows, roof and internal layout.

Here in the Ribble Valley we are fortunate to have a number of family-run businesses that specialise in doing the work for you – from an initial assessment right down to producing CAD drawings so you can see what your finished build will look like, they will take you through every step of your journey to create the perfect living space.

Alternatively, if you aspire to opening up a kitchen with bi-fold doors to bring the outdoors in, this is a popular choice especially with busy families. Or if your current windows or doors need replacing there are many and varied designs on the market so you can be sure to find something suitable. From bespoke timber frames and doors that are hand-crafted and perfect for heritage properties, to aluminium or timber-effect frames suitable for traditional or contemporary homes, the choice is vast and the quality impeccable.

So, if you are thinking about upgrading your conservatory to create extra space, building an orangery to extend your home or your windows and doors need some attention, turn to the professionals that are right on your doorstep!
