After recently reaching their five-year milestone, celebrations continue as The Footcare Service sees further expansion
After taking on an intense nine-month course which culminated in a two-week residential placement in Birmingham, The Footcare Service are celebrating the achievements of two of their members of staff.
“Sophie and Amanda have recently qualified to become Advanced Healthcare Practitioners, and we’re so proud of them,” says owner Jo-Anne. “They have both been working so hard and we couldn’t be more impressed with the results they received. They both achieved a Distinction grade for their Level 4 O.A. Diploma Footcare Practitioner course, and they managed it all while working full-time.”
With this qualification, Sophie and Amanda are now able to offer a wide selection of specialised services, including providing treatment for hard skin, ingrowing toenails, corns, callouses and verrucae.
“For the past five years we have been providing a specialised toenail-cutting service to help prevent people from having poor mobility,” says Jo-Anne. “With the girls now having these new qualifications under their belts, it really expands the list of treatments we can offer. We’re all very excited to start helping clients with more of their footcare needs, and we can’t wait to see what 2019 will bring!”
