New Focus on Fashion

& Style

Boundary Outlet launched its new look store this autumn and with it a range of new fashion labels. Gail Bailey caught up with Store Director Jane Daunt to find out what this new look means for customers

It has been a busy time at Boundary Outlet as it re-launched with a completely new look store at the beginning of November. Store director Jane Daunt has a wealth of experience working in department stores and is excited to be involved in the re-launch: “Retailing has changed so much but this last 12 months has seen a huge transformation at Boundary Outlet to move with this change. The store has a totally new look, with new fashion lines introduced, while still ensuring that we have the same ethos of great brands at great value prices for which we are renowned,” she explains.

The shop interior has a new layout with the introduction of brand walls making the whole store much more spacious for customers: “It is much easier to see the brands and the displays are further narrowed down to styles, size and budget to make browsing and shopping a far simpler and relaxing process,” Jane says.

Some of the fashion labels on offer at Boundary Outlet are Hobbs, a designer label known for stylish modern cuts and feminine tailoring. There is also Monsoon for day and occasion wear and the on-trend label Anthropologie.

“Boundary Outlet is the best destination for the best brands,” adds Jane. “We are always on the look out for the labels we know our customers will want and we are always keen to ensure we are able to offer these at the best price.”

Other labels include Studio 8 (sister range to Phase Eight) creating premium plus-size clothing for fashion discerning women up to size 26, Sandwich, a quality range that is casual and contemporary and the timeless, classic designs by Jaeger are available along with a huge selection of stunning evening and party wear by Roman – perfect for the approaching festive season.

Boundary Outlet caters for all budgets and among the high street names there is Dorothy Perkins, Apricot and Klass.

“We have an extensive collection of handbags and accessories in the store too,” Jane says. “Along with the fabulous and much sought-after Radley handbags we also stock Osprey handbags which are stunningly crafted and of the highest quality, and Paul Costelloe bags which are famously stylish and give the perfect finish to any outfit.”

Men of course are not forgotten at Boundary Outlet and there are over 4,000 suits on the shop floor: “We have a fantastic sales team who are always on hand and happy to help and advise. They work with customers to choose the perfect suit to fit the style, size and budget, and being experts in men’s tailoring they ensure customers leave with the right suit for the right occasion.”

Other men’s ranges include Timberland, an exciting heritage brand which focuses on high-quality products characterised by superior fabrics and design-led British brand French Connection, who are synonymous with creating distinctive products. Plus, a great range of outdoor wear including Tog 24, Craghopper and Regatta.

“Being able to provide classic and contemporary fashion for men and women, and to feature some of the best quality labels and brands at up to 70 per cent off the recommended retail price in some cases, is what Boundary Outlet is all about,” Jane further adds.

The Boundary Outlet style and value doesn’t stop at fashion, as Jane explains: “We have just reintroduced Royal Doulton and Wedgwood and Kosta Boda, a fabulous new glassware range. Other homeware favourites include Joseph Joseph kitchenware, Joules bedding and Villeroy and Boch china.”

“We are all excited about the new-look store and the company feels re-invented. Retail shopping is about the whole experience and we’re confident that at Boundary Outlet we have this absolutely right for all our loyal and new customers.”
