Thinking of getting a cleaner but not sure whether to take the plunge? Gill Stock owns and manages the local office of Time for You Cleaning, the UK’s premier domestic cleaning company. Here, she answers some frequently asked questions
How much will it cost?
You can choose a weekly clean charged at £12.95/hour or a fortnightly service which is £13.95/hour, and the minimum clean available is two hours. The self-employed cleaner receives £10 an hour, with the remaining balance being our service charge.
What does the service charge cover?
Our services include the recruitment, selection and vetting of self employed cleaners. We will provide a cover cleaner if your regular cleaner is unavailable. The charge also covers full insurance and on-going management from myself. If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with your cleaner, I will provide a replacement for you.
What can I expect my cleaner to do?
Your cleaner will do all the usual jobs like vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchen. We offer a service tailored to your own needs so, if you would like them to iron, clean windows or change bedding, you just need to ask. You can also specify which jobs are done on a weekly basis and which jobs are rotational.
I feel nervous having a stranger in my home. How can you reassure me it’s safe?
All our cleaners are police checked and all have quality references. I also interview them in their own homes to get to know them and ensure I am happy with their own standards. If I am not entirely satisfied, I will not appoint them. Any cleaner I send you will be someone I’d be happy to have in my own home. Also, you will always have the same cleaner, so you can get to know them and feel comfortable with them in your home.
Do you offer any extra services?
We can offer a food preparation and shopping service if required, please get in touch if you require this.
I don’t feel I need a regular cleaner, but I might like a one-off clean before I have guests to stay. Is this possible?
Yes, we can offer a fully bespoke, one-off, five-hour clean.
Do you offer cleaning for commercial premises too?
My business is focused on domestic cleaning, but I do consider commercial contracts. I already service several care homes and a children’s residential home.

Anywhere in the Fylde with an FY postcode, such as Lytham St Annes, Blackpool, Thornton-Cleveleys, Poulton, Over Wyre, Fleetwood, Staining and Singleton.
