Small, independent businesses are the heartbeat of every community. Every £1 spent locally helps provide employment, a better high street, a stronger local economy and a nicer place to live. In fact, of every £1 spent locally about 75 pence stays in the community.
In Longridge we have great small businesses – retailers, professionals, merchants, tradespeople, cafes, bars and food geniuses. Every week these are the businesses supporting the town, its events and its sports clubs with their sponsorship money, time and expertise.
Create Longridge gives residents and visitors another reason to spend a day in the town, not only to watch superb art being created before their eyes but also to explore Longridge’s unique shopping and entertainment offering. The Longridge economy receives a huge financial boost as a result.
Now in its eighth year, Small Business Saturday is a celebration of the country’s small businesses that play such a part in shaping their towns. On Saturday 5th December please support the local, small businesses who are there for you every day.
