Your Architectural Design Process

Choosing the right architect is the all-important first step in your building project. With their meticulous architectural design process and exceptional client-architect experience, you’ll get the design and build of your dreams with BCAE Architects, writes Sarah Ulyatt

BCAE Architects offer a detailed seven-stage architectural design process, dedicated to making the client journey as enjoyable and straight forward as possible from initial consultation to completion.

“Many of our clients have never embarked on a building project before and so our architectural design process clearly outlines what you can expect from us at each stage,” explains co-director of BCAE Architects, Arron El-Ammar.

“We have designed our architectural processes to be as flexible as your project requires – after all, every building is as unique as the people that live in it and we’re passionate about making sure we work together to create your dream home or living space.”

Having established BCAE Architects in 2022, Arron and co-director Ben Craven, offer high-end, bespoke designs for contemporary house extensions, unique eco homes, rural barn conversions, home adaptations and larger scale residential schemes across the North West.

SEVEN-STAGE DESIGN PROCESS
Stage 0 – Feasibility / Consultation / Workshop
Whether you have a clear idea or need some guidance to help shape your plans, this free consultation will help you understand viability, possibilities, limitations, and costs.

Stage 1– Existing Site and Brief Analysis
Full detailed design requirements acquired, and full set of existing drawings produced, alongside any necessary surveys.

Stage 2 – Concept Design
Initial proposed designs created. Review meeting and a 3D walk-through and Virtual Reality (VR) session.

Stage 3 – Developed Design
Further refinement of preferred option and any planning applications or Lawful Development Certificates submitted. A follow-up 3D walk-through and VR session.

Stage 4 – Building Regulations / Tender
Full support with building regulation applications and liaison with your approved building inspector. Fully detailed drawings and plans. Advise on a trusted network of reliable contractors to find a suitable builder or construction company.

Stage 5 / 6 – Construction
Start on site – the most exciting stage of your architectural journey! BCAE Architects manage the process on your behalf to keep the project on programme and budget.

Stage 7 – In Use
By project managing the architectural accuracy of your build, snagging inspections happen throughout the duration of the project. To ensure the very best finish, a final snagging inspection takes place once the build is complete.
