AWARD FINALIST!

Whalley Home Improvements have gone from strength to strength over the past year and the business has recently been named as a top award finalist

A new business set up at the height of the pandemic has become a striking success story. Whalley Home Improvements has been named a finalist in the New Business category of the Ribble Valley Business Awards – less than a year after it was founded by Graham Fielden and Emma Hodgkinson.

“Making the business as successful as it is, we couldn’t have wished for a better start!” says a delighted Emma. “And, being named as one of four finalists is fantastic – we’re more than happy with that.”

When deciding on the four finalists in the New Business category, the RVBA21 judges agreed: “Without a doubt, this has been the most difficult category we’ve ever had to shortlist. Of the 35 entries we received, 14 were in contention to be finalists.”

However, after much soul searching and debate, the RVBA21 finalists for New Business were named, Whalley Home Improvements being among them: “With 14 in contention it’s quite an achievement for us to be in the final four,” says Emma.

Whalley Home Improvements offers the very best in window and door fitting, conservatory and building construction and a full project management service. Emma, who previously worked for world-leading manufacturer, Ultraframe, works on the sales side of the business with recently-recruited Martin Bentley, whom she worked with at Ultraframe for eight years.

Graham, of long-established joiners Frank Fielden and Son, heads up the joinery side of the company, making and fitting bespoke windows, doors, kitchens, tailor-made staircases and pergolas.

Having expanded their team of craftsmen and builders to 18 over the past year, Whalley Home Improvements feature the very best names in the industry in terms of globally renowned roof systems, doors and windows, including the highly respected Timberlook flush sash windows.

Timberlook windows are made using modern materials and technology that make it possible to achieve the character and look you want. A real alternative to timber, the windows are affordable, thermally efficient and secure. The flush sash windows, which are designed to look identical to traditional wooden frames, are perfect for heritage style properties, historic buildings and conservation projects. They are also made for modern living and, with a minimal and understated appearance, suit contemporary and new build properties too.

Specialising in orangery construction, extensions, conservatory roof replacement, and fitting windows and doors of all different styles and materials, Whalley Home Improvements are perfect for any project no matter how large or small and they are fully CORGI Fenestration accredited too!

The RVBA winners will be announced live at a virtual ceremony on the Ribble Valley Business Awards Facebook page at 6pm on Thursday 25th March
