Wander through the warm and cosy on-site cabins at So Plants where you can discover an array of themed country-style Christmas decorations – from giant frosted cones, trees wreathed in antique-style blooms and giant gold leaves, all made magical with festive twinkling lights.

There’s a display featuring dried fruit decorations with classic orange and cinnamon while outside there’s a vast selection of pots, plants, trees and shrubs making ideal Christmas gifts.

There are potted bay trees, holly, sarcoccoa, sweet box – a fragrant Christmas flowering shrub – and as you would expect, So Plants has an array of pot-grown and cut premium Christmas trees too. Renowned for their expertise, Michelle Unsworth and her team each year work in the on-site polytunnel hand-making hundreds of Christmas wreaths, seasonal hanging baskets, table decorations, garlands, hyacinth bowls and beautifully filled garden tubs.

So Plants also stocks a wide range of holly, fir sprigs and accessories for those wanting to get creative and make their own festive wreaths.

Leading horticulturalist Michelle explains: “We can even make up specialist wreaths to order, including bird-friendly wreaths, which attract birds with food that keeps them fed through the harsh winter months.”

Always aiming to be eco and animal friendly, So Plants stocks a range of natural dog food and in keeping with the festive theme, there are personalised squeaky dog bone toys and other gifts to keep your four-legged friend happy this Christmas!

In the cosy gift cabin there are beautiful scarves, socks, hats and gloves from country-wear brand Heritage Tradition, Alura long-lasting scented diffusers, candles by Gisella Graham, festive gift wrap and Christmas seed cards from Preston-based Our Little Seed Co.

Also made locally are felt-art gifts including a Christmas felt elf that will take centre stage during the festive period, when there will be a visit from Santa and a hunt the elf competition for youngsters.

All knowledgeable about the products and plants they stock, the team at So Plants are always on hand to offer expert advice on what plants are suitable for your garden – with much of the stock home-grown on site to withstand our chilly northern climate.

Gift vouchers are also an option at So Plants – lasting for 12 months, the lucky recipient will be able to visit in springtime and choose from the fabulous array of plants, roses and shrubs available at this lovely country destination, which also has an on-site farm shop and café.

A visit to So Plants is a must this Christmas – a seasonal treat to discover this thriving Little Town community!
