Lancashire couple Mr and Mrs Harris tell us why they had no hesitation in choosing The Original Bathroom Company to give them a kitchen of their dreams, writes Sarah Ulyatt. Photography: Roger Moore
“Every time I go into my kitchen, I just can’t believe it’s our house!” These are the words of Mrs Harris who recently had a stunning, contemporary kitchen installed by renowned Longton based business, The Original Bathroom Company.
Mr and Mrs Harris had previously used The Original Bathroom Company to design and install their bathroom and were so impressed that they had no hesitation in returning to Angela, Terry, Rob and the team to transform their kitchen.
Mrs Harris said: “After they had done such a fantastic job with our bathroom, we knew we wanted them to do our kitchen, too. The best thing is that they take the stress out of the whole process and look after everything from the initial design process with Angela, to the plumbing, lighting, decoration and even suggest appliances and little extras we hadn’t even thought of. From start to finish, they always shared our enthusiasm for creating the perfect high end, contemporary finish we wanted.”
The couple opted for an industrial style Mereway kitchen in designer oxidized amber and a luxurious copper trim. The sleek cupboard doors are all set against a striking white marble worktop and matching splashback.
Bespoke sized cupboard doors were sourced to make the most of the space available as well as the addition of a breakfast bar, wine fridge, built in appliances and a contemporary styled hot tap.
“I love everything about our kitchen, but my favourite thing has to be the hot tap. Having an instant brew is just great and now means that we can have the surfaces clear without the need for a kettle. It all adds to the sleek contemporary styling we wanted, and they have definitely delivered on that,” said Mrs Harris. “They take everything in their stride and Terry fitted everything perfectly, including sorting out our uneven ceiling and offering suggestions with extra cupboard space and appliances.”
