Intimate dining, friends and family gathering, or dancing the night away, you’ll savour welcoming hospitality, top-rated entertainment and the freshest locally sourced ingredients given a delectable twist throughout the festive season.

Dressed for a sparkling Christmas, Barton’s Walled Garden restaurant provides a truly magical backdrop, with the elegantly renovated original Edwardian conservatory complemented by warming modern comfort and glittering garden views.

Enjoy catching up over the ultimate traditional or sparkling festive afternoon tea, served from 12pm until 5pm daily throughout December. Succulent sandwiches include Lancashire cheese, poached salmon, beetroot humus, and of course turkey, cranberry and stuffing. Warm your cockles with homemade hot sausage rolls and homemade pigs in blankets, making sure to leave room for bite-sized confectionary creations and Barton’s famous homemade scones.

Celebrating his first Christmas at Barton Manor, head chef Tom Gardener has pushed the sleigh out, sourcing the finest local ingredients and wizarding them into temptations including traditional turkey and trimmings, homecured beetroot gravlax, honey glazed belly pork, shoulder of lamb, confit of duck, wild mushroom tart, and pea and vegan spelt risotto. Served from 12.30pm until 9pm daily throughout December, with five mouthwatering options per course, one visit might not be enough!

If you need gluten-free or dietary options, just ask to be accommodated. With desserts including sticky toffee and Christmas puddings, lemon and lime tart, and coconut panna cotta, your hardest choice will be staying ‘good’ at two courses or going gloriously naughty with three!

Book an extra-special Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day celebration meal, and take the chores and cooking out of Christmas. Extra temptations include Bowland Beef Wellington, homemade wild mushroom and chestnut tortellini, and spiced sultana and apple crème brulee.

Top-quality entertainment is definitely on the menu, with a different premier vocalist serenading Walled Garden diners from 6pm each Friday, to the end of December. Welcoming Aiden Grimshaw, Gemma Doyle, and Liz Hendry, booking is recommended.

Tempting even Santa from putting his feet up, see the year out in style with the Walled Garden’s sumptuous five-course New Year’s Eve party, taking you through the midnight chimes with DJ entertainment. Make it truly relaxing by staying in one of Barton Manor’s comfortable, contemporary bedrooms, followed by a breakfast, the rest of 2024 will find hard to beat!

With events and entertainment throughout the Manor and a range of attractive venues to host private celebrations, Barton Manor has your stress-free festive season enchantingly covered. Walled Garden afternoon teas, lunches and dinners start from £25.95, party nights from £50. Call 01772 862551 to be made warmly welcome.
