Updating an outdated kitchen can offer great opportunities to breathe new life into a space which no longer works as well as it could. Luckily, Rakesh Chapanery knew just who to call. In 2011 Creative UPVC owner Stuart Hughes and the team had converted their garage into a study area and games room for the kids, with a bonus home office for Rakesh, and replaced the windows throughout.

“Our separate kitchen and dining room were too small, tired and outdated,” recalls Rakesh. “Understanding exactly what we wanted, Stuart came up with a fantastic extension and conversion plan. We trust Stuart so completely, that rather than try and live around the disruption, we moved out for the entire period, while he kept us fully updated.”
Rakesh’s wife Kam adds: “It felt like returning to a brand-new home. With the children growing up, we simply needed more space. The kitchen is now twice the size, incorporating a spacious dining area and snug with sofa and TV. Now we enjoy relaxed family time together – the whole downstairs feels so much more modern and welcoming.”
