The run up to Christmas is always a busy time and this year, with everything else that is going on, it could prove quite a challenge for some.

With presents to buy and homes to decorate, people are desperate to get out and browse but, understandably, they’re also keen to avoid crowded areas.

Fortunately, one of Lancashire’s best-known Christmas retailers has come up with the ideal solution, enabling people to avoid daytime queues and shop in the evenings instead. This year, the multi award-winning Barton Grange Garden Centre is offering an unprecedented seven weeks of late-night shopping during November and December and, for the first time, the late nights include Saturdays.

Called simply ‘Late Nights’, these late openings don’t just provide opportunity to visit when the garden centre is relatively quiet, they also offer a sparkling light display in the outdoor area.

“There’s a fabulous festive atmosphere on our Late Nights,” says Becky Hughes, who looks after the marketing at Barton Grange. “With all the lights on and the displays looking their best, it really is the perfect time to visit.”

The UK leader in garden centre Christmas displays, Barton Grange is a must-visit for fans of Christmas in the area. The whole centre is transformed into a magical winter wonderland of colours, lights, seasonal foliage and festive characters, guaranteed to wow visitors of all ages.

Alongside the main themed displays, each with its own colour scheme, there’s a toy shop, a fabulous selection of festive dining accessories and tableware, a Christmas food collection and the famous Barton Grange Lemax Village displays.

“There’s a lovely, relaxed feel to our Late Nights,” says Becky. “Whether buying decorations and lights, or looking for Christmas presents, customers have time and space to browse.

“For a fun family evening, a wind down after work or just for ticking some jobs off your list, it’s perfect.”

Barton Grange is now open until 8pm Tuesday to Saturday, so you can avoid any daytime queues and shop in the evenings when it’s quieter.

The garden centre is committed to remaining Covid secure at all times. The car park is operating at reduced capacity, to limit numbers in the building, and there are full safety measures in place to protect you while you shop. Late Nights begin on Tuesday 3rd November when the garden centre will be open until 8pm on Tuesday to Saturday, until Saturday 19th December.
