MARITIME THEME

Cream Cornwall is a brand synonymous with great maritime and nautical design

Based in Falmouth the designers and co-founders behind the iconic Cream Cornwall brand, Allison and Rebecca, don’t have to travel far for their inspiration. With this in mind they have beautifully translated two of their most popular designs into a stunning new collection of oil cloth.

The Mackerel and Seahorse have been in the product portfolio since the launch of Cream Cornwall and already adorn many Cream products. Last year saw the launch of their fabric collection with the motifs on a much larger scale, but Rebecca said: “We felt as though there was a gap in our collection for something on a smaller scale, that could read as a semi plain from a distance, and reducing the size of our repeats seemed like the natural thing to do.”

Whilst the designs were already in production and used to make a number of other products, it is now available with a waterproof coating, making it an ideal choice for an everyday tablecloth that can easily be wiped clean after use.

“Not only is it a stylish addition to your home, it is also very practical,” added Allison.

Keeping it simple and in line with the brands core colours the two designs are available in classic navy, Cornish blue, airforce and turquoise, a natural choice given the subject matter.

The fabrics are digitally printed and coated in the UK and are priced at £39 per metre. “We love the quality of digital print, as it shows every detail of the hand drawn artwork,” said Rebecca. “Printing in the UK also gives us a very quick response time and great flexibility.”

The fabrics are available exclusively in store and online at: www.creamcornwall.co.uk
