Fine artist, colour expert and paint legend Annie Sloan is celebrating 30 years since the creation of Chalk Paint® with the launch of an anniversary-appropriate pearlescent glaze.
Having revolutionised decorative painting in 1990 with the invention of her now-iconic velvety matt formula, Annie brings pizzazz to paint jobs with the launch of the glossy new glaze.
Developed to apply over Chalk Paint®, Annie Sloan Pearlescent Glaze creates fuss-free glistening pearl-effect pieces. Paint two coats over white for a solid pearl look, paint over light colours for intense pearlescence or over dark shades for a subtle glimmer, equivalent to a metallic paint.
Annie Sloan invented her revolutionary furniture paint, Chalk Paint®, in 1990 and hasn’t stopped refining and improving the formula. With no need for priming or sanding, Chalk Paint® is as easy to use as opening the tin, dipping your brush and applying paint to furniture!
She has been named as one of Britain’s most influential female designers.
Annie Sloan Pearlescent Glaze is manufactured, along with 44 mixable Chalk Paint® colours, at Annie’s purpose-built factory alongside the brand’s Oxford headquarters and sold via the Annie Sloan website and a nationwide network of independent distributors.
