Pintxos Comes To Preston

San Sebastian has more top Michelin starred restaurants than anywhere else and now Bar Pintxos in Preston is serving food inspired from the region in its characteristic atmosphere to customers who want to enjoy a fusion of exciting tastes

Pintxos are small bite-sized skewers featuring some of the finest delicacies famous in the Basque region. Created as ‘food art’ they are designed to be enjoyed while socialising and are the perfect party partner to friends and fizz.

Using authentic continental produce and championing local producers, customers can choose their selection of daily Pintxos and pay for the number of skewers left on their plate at the end like they do in Spain.

Dishes include grilled fig and goats cheese, manchego cheese and serrano hams, stuffed mushrooms with brandy, garlic prawns all freshly made each morning.

Enjoy a glass of Anna, from Raventós Codorníu one of the region’s finest sparkling wines and the oldest wine-grower in Spain. Or while you soak up the atmosphere try a Spanish beer or Basque wines such as the light, sparkling Txakoli.

Continuing the authentic vibe, you will be looked after by our eclectic mix of English and Spanish staff. Offering a very warm welcome they will keep the drinks flowing and talk you through the menu of Pintxos so you can be sure to try everything.

If you prefer to sit and chat, venture upstairs to the space known as El Burro.

Here booths provide a cosy corner with dark wood benches, luxurious fabrics and walls peppered with artwork from the San Sebastian region.

The view of the city through the glass upstairs is breathtaking and provides a leafy frame to the famous flag market beyond.

Families are always welcome at Bar Pintxos and there is a mini Pintxos menu for younger diners to enjoy.
