AKS Lytham is gearing up for its third annual careers fair
This year’s careers fair, which will be held on Wednesday 7th March to coincide with National Careers Week, promises to be AKS Lytham’s biggest yet. As well as admissions officers from FE and HE providers from the UK and Europe, and a diverse range of career pathways from a broad range of employment sectors, it will also have a dedicated healthcare careers zone for keen-minded students to explore. In addition, its subject specialist teaching staff will be present to offer subject-specific careers guidance. Its aim is to offer students impartial advice on university, higher apprenticeships and employment.
Whilst AKS Lytham is an independent school based on the traditional values of leadership and service, it also strives to futureproof its students by allowing them to hone their own bespoke skillset and to aim for success, both academically and in the world of work. Its extensive co-curricular programme allows students to develop transferable skills such as leadership, communication, resilience and adaptability. Whether they are actively involved in supporting the local community in AKS Action or supporting fellow teammates on the rugby pitch they are developing the skills and mind-set employers seek.
As members of the international group Round Square, AKS Lytham students also have access to a global community whose six IDEALS of learning (Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure Leadership and Service) have already inspired many to broaden their career horizons beyond the UK.
