RESTORATION PROJECT…

The beautiful historic villa that is the Château de Drudas has recently been transformed into a luxury hotel

The Château de Drudas, listed as an historical monument, is a magnificent house from the 18th century that has recently been restored by the architect Pierre-Henri Bouchacourt and his team.

Located in the heart of the Haute-Garonne countryside, France, the historic villa which is now a hotel, presented a great challenge for the interior design studio as they simultaneously needed to preserve the authentic style of the castle and integrate a touch of modernity.

With great respect for its heritage, the project was successfully completed and Château de Drudas opened its doors – providing guests with an exceptional stay, where luxury and comfort are blended, resulting in a special ambience.

As you pass the entrance, in neutral pastel colours, the original locks and mouldings from three centuries ago, catch the visitor’s eye.

In the hall, a beautiful beige Hermès sofa from the Portuguese brand BRABBU completes the interior design with its modern presence – it truly embodies the hotel’s atmosphere.

On the left of the hall is the terrific restaurant that is le Verdurier, which is located in the ancient ballroom of the castle and managed by prestigious starred chef Eric Sampietro.

A splendid chandelier and beautiful decorative wall lights brighten the restaurant with a glamorous but romantic light.

Guests can also enjoy a relaxing moment at Drudas taking a peaceful break in one of the salons.

The first is the Salon du Potager – a calm and friendly space that offers a rotisserie and a traditional bread oven which gives it charm.

The second one is the Salon Résseguier which shows off a more formal side but with the same peace and comfort. The tomettes (ancient tiles) on the floor are the original ones and a beautiful chandelier imposes itself in the middle of the room.

The hotel also has large prestigious staircases that cannot fail to impress. There are 23 bedrooms, including six duplex suites decorated in an unmistakeably 18th-century style with a few modern touches. They offer all the modern comforts and benefits of such a high-quality renovation while retaining all the criteria of an historic building.

The Château de Drudas is just one of many prestigious high-end projects that has involved design house BRABBU, that has undertaken work on some of the world’s most renowned and eclectic developments.
