With their individual signature style, talented duo Holly Stott and William Howarth have recently brought a beautiful stone barn conversion well and truly into the 21st century
Holt Living, is a vibrant interiors company that sees Holly Stott and William Howarth creating beautiful living spaces.
Whether that’s an individual kitchen or bathroom – or a whole home, these talented young designers, who met while at Leeds College of Art, have been working on a number of stunning projects throughout the region.
Having worked in the industry for nine years, the duo have joined forces to combine their individual talents with Holly at the helm of interior design and specialist Will, who sources and supplies first class cabinetry for kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms.
Holly, who won the BBC’s ‘Your Home in Their Hands’ with her innovative design, and Will were recently commissioned to complete the interior design of a family home in Rossendale.
The large converted stone-built barn features Holly’s instantly recognisable signature style which combines modern clean lines and warm neutral palettes to show off the natural features of the building.
Lighting too plays a huge part in Holt Living’s designs to create warmth and ambience.
“We design to suit our clients’ lifestyle,” says Holly. “We gain insight into their everyday lives so we can seamlessly combine what’s needed with what’s possible. We apply a strong detail driven focus, with the highest quality products. The results on this particular project are stunning.”
The five-bedroom, five-bathroom home features exposed stone and oak beams. Almost all aspects of the design is bespoke – with cabinetry and sinks made to measure in Italy, a staircase made to order for the hallway and a chandelier that was also made especially for the barn. The full Lutron lighting system has brought the building very much into the 21st century as have the design and installation of the contemporary heritage grey kitchen and beautiful bathrooms.
“We work one-to-one with our clients on a daily basis to ensure their vision exceeds initial expectations,” says Holly, who with Will, uses a state-of-the-art CAD system that enables clients to visualise every aspect of the end result when designing a room.
“We really provide an extra level of service,” agree Holly and Will, who carry out commercial design along with domestic projects and are proud to be industry leaders when it comes to introducing new products to their clients.”
