REVOLUTIONARY TREATMENT

Micropigmentation is a technique that delivers amazing results giving the illusion of thicker hair

Always keeping ahead of the industry, skilled barber Joseph Lanzante and JL Aesthetics, are now offering scalp micropigmentation, a super-effective treatment that has only recently been brought to the UK.

Initially introduced in London and other major cities, micropigmentation is a technique that introduces natural colour pigmentation into the skin using a fine needle – and it is now available here in the Ribble Valley.

Having undergone micropigmentation himself, who better to recommend the procedure than Joseph himself, who was so impressed he qualified as a micropigmentation expert practitioner, following intensive training in Harley Street, London.

“I had no hair at all. Now it looks like I have a really close crew cut,” says Joseph, who is delighted with the results! Even under close scrutiny, it’s impossible to tell that this ‘scalp shadow’ has been created using thousands of tiny micropigmentation dots.

Joseph explains: “After about five years it may fade and a top-up may be needed but this doesn’t fade like a traditional tattoo, it fades with skin tone due to the pigment used.”

Micropigmentation, which is virtually painless, can also give the illusion of thicker and fuller hair by infilling gaps, or wide partings, in both men and women. Men who are balding can regain confidence in their appearance by designing their own style and this service can also benefit cancer patients, who have suffered hair loss as well as people with alopecia and scarring. Micropigmentation can also successfully be used in a medical capacity to correct scarred or discoloured skin.

Joseph can carefully build up colour on a client’s scalp with tiny strokes of pigmentation to give depth and create the illusion of density which is not already present. It can be applied to thinning areas or smooth surfaces to give a stubble effect.

The procedure is popular with footballers and celebrities and those who have had hair transplants.

“The younger generation are much more aware of their looks and what is available to enhance them,” says Joseph, who runs the Joseph Lanzante Training Academy in Clayton-le-Moors and the highly successful Men’s Room barber shop in Clitheroe.

Joseph concludes: “Male grooming is continuing to grow so it is important to move with current trends and there is more and more pressure on people to look good. A service such as this is a great way to help people battling with insecurities that are otherwise completely out of their hands. It is a brilliant alternative to a hair transplant and is more suitable for those who are looking for a less invasive solution.”

Micropigmentation costs from £400 to £2,200 for more information please call Joseph Lanzante on 01254 427575 or 07984 797726
