Summer Tablescapes

This high summer capsule collection for the home is crafted with care from natural materials

Nkuku’s fresh and quietly elegant collection inspires the art of living well within the home. Thoughtfully designed and curated, the collection evokes a sense of freshness, light and calm, infusing summer suppers with a touch of simple, understated style.

The effortless blend of natural textures and finishes, paired with the handcrafted elegance of clean cream ceramics featuring fluted details and hand-blown recycled glassware adorned with bursts of fresh sea tones in organic shapes, creates simple yet sophisticated tablescapes perfect for relaxed entertaining.

Enhance the setting with textured, hand-patterned terracotta planters, adding rustic charm to outdoor seating spaces. Elevate your table setting by layering with table mats and coasters woven from water hyacinth, adding a touch of rustic charm.

TAJA GLASS
Within the collection is recycled Taja glassware that brings a soft palette of fresh aqua tones in gentle blues and greens to instantly freshen up a table setting. Coloured glass fragments are introduced to the clear molten glass, creating a free-flowing design and unique finish that is also highly durable as the pattern is contained within the glass itself. The stylish, organic design, with its sturdy form and gentle uneven rim, heightens the individual beauty of each glass.

ARUVI TABLEWARE
Pressed and then hand-finished with gently scalloped edges that give it a uniquely tactile charm, the Aruvi tableware collection adds a refined and elegant touch to table settings. Standing apart from other stoneware pieces thanks to its beautifully fluted form, the creamy, white reactive glaze develops a very subtle and delicate patina in the kiln that makes each piece pleasingly distinct.

LAM TABLE MATS
These simple yet stylish Lam table mats and coasters have an organic shape and use the variations in colour of the dried water hyacinth to create a simple block pattern and border. Water hyacinth is a river weed in Vietnam, where these mats are made, so the local weavers are making use of an unwelcome species in the ecosystem.

Amy McSorley, Product Development Director at nkuku, says of the new collection: “Summer is a wonderfully social season, filled with alfresco lunches and leisurely suppers shared with family and friends. Introducing a high summer capsule collection enables our customers to enhance their existing tableware collections, offering a range of stylish options for creating memorable tablescapes at home.”

The nkuku capsule collection launches in May.
