If you appreciate the finer things like designer clothes, smart watches or any items that exude excellence and are totally fit for purpose – if you are seeking a vehicle of status, one that combines sophistication, strength, simplicity and style – if you have got this far, then please, feel free to read on.

For INEOS has quite possibly, very probably, almost definitely produced something to tickle your good-taste buds.

The Grenadier is a car (loosely termed) for utilitarians, enthusiasts, urban explorers, weekenders and high achievers.

Essentially people like you – people who know the difference.

It’s a 4×4 that is practical day-to-day but more than capable of working outdoors. It’s a hobby horse for exploring, which values high-quality and can provide perfect transport for the entire family during the week and a perfect companion for weekend adventures.

In a nutshell, it’s successful and driven.

It’s not trying to be pristine, or fake or a poser, simply interested in top show.

The Grenadier is more a premier product, engineered to the highest specification, expert at working and doing, delivering experiences and outcomes that will blow your mind.

It’s aimed at the professional consumer – now affectionately known known as the ‘prosumer’.

The Grenadier is available in Trailmaster or Fieldmaster editions, both of them workhorses producing optimum performance day-in-and-day-out, irrespective of weather or ground conditions.

And while offering off-road perfection and incredible performance over the toughest terrains, it also manages to be something of a funky machine with a lighter side.

You certainly don’t have to be a landowner, builder, farmer or rural vet to appreciate its overall charm and appeal. The Grenadier is about super driveability on any road from town, to motorway to twisty mountain pass.

As great to drive on the road as it is off, this is a ready-for-anything, accept-any-challenge machine of incredible capability.

Under the supervision of super-rich chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe (motor enthusiast and experienced adventurer) INEOS has identified a gap in the market for a stripped back yet immensely attractive 4×4 – a head-turner, engineered for modern day compliance, reliability and fun.

At first glance it could appear to be something of a niche vehicle. It isn’t. Trust me, the buying market is much wider.

You start up the engine with a key, one of several throwback features to times when cars were not over-complex and unnecessarily crammed with zillions of might-use-might-not-use gadgets.

You actually press buttons and turn dials – there is even a manual handbrake – nothing is complicated, but that’s not to say this is old school, far from it.

All the necessary modernity is here with every detail to satisfy the demands of the urban sprawl – yes, don’t worry Apple CarPlay is right there – as is an automatic gearbox and a whole host of up-to-the-minute features.

You’ll find a refined interior with a spacious and light cabin and super supportive seats to ensure a smooth ride. It’s civilised on every journey with absolutely no need to trade on-road comfort for off-road capability.

Yes, it’s rugged and durable, and seriously capable, but there’s far more to it than meets the eye with a range of specifically-designed, warranty-backed and fully-tested accessories.

Take the rear 70/30 door, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, thanks to a foldable tailgate camp table specially designed to fit and taking up minimum space. No bouncing around off-road, just a handy food/drink preparation surface that’s rugged, rattle-free and ready-to-go.

There is a generous palette of traditional bodywork colours and interior styles to select from – even a high-vis wrap!

There’s plenty of choice and options – and when you need to make a move or move some stuff, then the willing Grenadier more than pulls its weight.

You can load it, tow it, drag it, recover it or strap it to the roof with a staggering 3.5 tonnes of towing capacity and up to 2,000 litres of loadspace.

Drive the Grenadier and expect to find an admiring audience whenever you rock up – a country show, race track, school gate or shopping centre.

For me, it is more than a vehicle for one purpose, more a versatile vehicle for multi-purpose, easily capable of fitting in and significantly enhancing most lifestyles.

The Grenadier is many things. Go along and experience it, for this, my ‘prosumer’ friends, is a genuine gear shift in modern motoring.
