CHRISTMAS COLLECTION

What will you remember from 2020?

At Longridge Gallery the intention is that our memories are of spectacular original artwork from the country’s leading painters. New work has been commissioned for the festive season with new names sitting alongside more familiar ones.

Making an appearance for the first time, Brenda Herd and Lyndsey Selley bring their interpretation of British phenomena, the weather and wildlife.

Born in South Africa, Brenda Herd is an adventurous mixed media artist. Her textured work is all about making the different materials in her pieces fuse together in harmony. Don’t expect only a resin finish, expect the resin to depict the raindrops!

With an artistic career spanning 25 years, Lyndsey Selley captures the nuance of wildlife fur and expression with technical excellence. Her career started designing pottery ranges for Royal Crown Derby and Denby, but she now specialises in wildlife painting, combining beautiful likeness with artistic dynamism.

It would be wrong at this time to ignore the timeless talents of Allan Morgan and Ruby Keller. Longridge Gallery often carries work by these two leading lights of the modern British art scene and we’re delighted to have secured new artworks from them for our Christmas collection. Both capture quintessentially British imagery in their own unique way.

The new collection is now in the gallery so please come along and seen these beautifully original paintings in all their glory.
