ELEGANCE, INNOVATION AND QUALITY…

Gail Bailey visits Markham Webber Design in Clitheroe to see the transformation of the new kitchen showroom ready for their launch in July

The kitchen is the heart of the modern home, where we spend much of our family, solo and social time. This is something David and Jane Brunt of Markham Webber Design know all too well and have brought their decades of industry knowledge to Clitheroe when they took over J&S Kitchens six months ago.

Markham Webber Design has implemented major changes, and the showroom has benefited enormously from significant investment and complete refurbishment, whilst maintaining the philosophy of designing quality kitchens, which suit all budgets and all tastes. The newly renovated showroom looks and feels amazing and the Markham Webber Design team are inviting people along to a special promotional Open Day in July to sample first-hand what they have to offer.

Jeremy Bernstein of Markham Webber Design, explained: “Continuity has been central to this transition and we are delighted that the team who worked alongside Jane and Simon Miller for five successful years are very much still here, from the designers to the entire back-up team.”

This team includes award-winning designer Claire Kelly, who is now the showroom manager, and has been able to apply her talents to the design and features of the stylish new displays.

On a tour of the showroom it’s clear to see why Claire received the accolade she did last year, as a finalist in the Kitchen Designer of the Year Awards, with an entirely new range of Leicht ‘live kitchens’ which include Neff and Siemens appliances, enabling customers to see the appliances at work.

David explained: “Central to the project has also been ensuring the philosophy of a ‘tight’ range, where there is no doubt customers will find the design, layout and products to suit their lifestyle and their budget, without being overloaded with brochures!”

Claire demonstrated the Neff flex induction hob with a new downdraft extractor fan, allowing pans to be placed anywhere, and extraction that really does do the job! Alongside this, customers will be able to purchase a high end Siemens wi-fi controlled oven, which incorporates a sous-vide compartment, where food is marinated and vacuum packed before being slow cooked. This gourmet culinary technique, that has long been used by chefs worldwide, is now accessible to all, meaning amateur cooks can prepare food to perfection with tenderness and flavour, unlike anything previously experienced.

Each of the displays shows a different worktop and sink and guarantees that all the products are on show. Jane explained how the displays combine cutting edge design concepts, such as those using copper and concrete, which have a fabulous contemporary aesthetic appeal, alongside more traditional style kitchens.

The worktop surfaces include Silestone, Corian and the indestructible Dekton, which are both sophisticated and visually appealing whilst maintaining a high level of functionality.

After viewing pocket and turbo driven doors, along with amazing large pantry style cabinets, I could feel the excitement customers will experience planning the perfect kitchen project with the support of such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team.

The Open Day on 14th July is a wonderful opportunity to experience all that Markham Webber has to offer first hand. The day will include a rolling cookery demonstration by Neff between 11am and 3pm where customers will be able to both observe and ask questions.

Byrnes Fine Wines will be offering wine tasting at 2pm and there will be a fabulous prize draw along with a complimentary Quooker hot tap with each order generated from the Open Day.

“We’re very happy to be offering the Markham Webber Design experience in the Ribble Valley and we’d like to invite customers both old and new, along with local businesses, to come and say hello and share the day with us. There will be food, drinks and nibbles and the opportunity to see the results of the extra investment – everyone is welcome!” explains owner David Brunt.
