ESTATE LIFE

Gisburne Park Estate surrounding Gisburn, is owned and managed by Guy Hindley, who is converting it into a thriving tourist destination called Ribblesdale Park

Welcome to Gisburne Park Estate, a 1000-acre private estate on the edge of the Yorksire Dales that has been converted into a thriving holiday destination. In the heart of the estate is Ribblesdale Park a state-of-the-art lodge park which welcomes over 100,000 visitors a year. Surrounding the holiday village are historic houses and cosy cottages all of which have a sumptuous hot tub. Across the estate we are able to accommodate over 200 people per night.

At the centre is Hindelinis gourmet café which has built a significant local following who enjoy the hearty homemade meals and the scenic setting. Many enjoy the impressive all-day breakfast menu before exploring the estate and surrounding area of natural beauty.

A couple of years ago we welcomed the newest chapter of Gisburne Park Estate, a brand new, luxury wedding venue, which is yours for a whole week. Nestled within historic Ribble Valley countryside and perched on the tributary of Stock Beck and the River Ribble, there is no other setting like this in the UK. Your marquee, tipi, or sperry tent is surrounded by 70ft cliffs and overlooked by 300-year-old beech trees. We only do a limited numbers of weddings a year and are nearly booked out for the next season.

Upstream, there is a picturesque bridge and set back further from the river’s edge is the magical spacious three-bedroom bridal accommodation called Riverside House.

Sitting close enough to watch your dreams unfold, but far enough away to have complete privacy, you really do feel like you have your own valley. For as long as you wish you can make yourself at home in Riverside House, which features a bridal suite and a large dressing room for wedding party preparations, two further bedrooms, which are accessed by a separate staircase, two bathrooms, large kitchen, dining room and two lounge areas.

Couples can get married in the ancient and historic St Mary’s Church in Gisburn, which is conveniently located on the edge of the estate, and just a short five-minute drive from the wedding venue. For couples who are wishing to marry at the estate, celebrant-led blessings are welcomed, which allow you to hold your ceremony within this beautiful setting.

There is also a small livery yard and a seven- furlong all weather gallop for those wishing to exercise their horses.

Gisburne Park Estate looks forward to welcoming you to this historic estate.
