Gisburne Park Estate is owned and managed by Guy and Amber Hindley who are converting it into a thriving five-star holiday and spa resort
As a business owner in hospitality the last 18 months have been a rollercoaster. Like everyone else we were shut for eight months but we managed to keep ourselves busy. Some of our accomplishments over that time are as follows:
We managed to redecorate all of our holiday properties and have been fully booked since reopening, we created and operated the first socially distanced music festival during summer 2020, for which we have received extensive, world wide coverage. We have built new teams across the estate, we also renovated Millbridge House which now sleeps 20 people, we opened and operated a Glamping Village, we welcomed over 25,000 people to our Christmas Markets, we invented a ‘drive-in’ Christmas carols and panto but our biggest achievement was buying back our family home, Gisburne Park in May 2021.
In 1986 my father moved our family out of Gisburne Park and converted it into a private hospital, which he then sold in the mid 90s. The business eventually ceased operating in March 2021 which gave Amber and I an opportunity to become the proud owners again. The estate is rich in history and heritage and we look forward to restoring this building and bringing the entire park back to life.
Our ambition is to create a place where guests, local and otherwise, can feel like they have a key to our estate. Whether it’s staying in an exquisitely designed hotel, working out in a club overlooking the River Ribble, enjoying various restaurants, unwinding in a private spa, lazing by the pool, experiencing the various art installations, listening to private concerts in the walled gardens or witnessing the wealth of wildlife around the mansion house and across the parkland. Amber and I endeavour to create an experience to rival the best in the UK and believe the mansion house and surrounding scenery warrants something of this magnitude.
We are thrilled to announce that we have a busy line up of events at Gisburne Park for autumn and winter 2021 starting with various Halloween activities throughout October, a Bonfire Night and Fireworks Extravaganza on 6th November and ending the year with a magical Christmas Market, Light Walk and Santa’s Grotto around the mansion house.
