GET SET FOR THE CLITHEROE FOOD FESTIVAL

Clitheroe’s biggest and best event is on the horizon once again – the Food Festival!

What could be better than a summer’s day out with family and friends enjoying food, drink, fun and festivities?

Well the Clitheroe Food Festival is the answer and once again it is set to deliver all that and more in 2015! Raise the bunting, summon the sunshine and let’s head to the Ribble Valley on Saturday 8th August.

The Clitheroe Food Festival is the much loved FREE food event of the year, one of the top 10 in the country. It is enduring because of the quality of the fabulous Lancashire produce on offer, the great public who loyally support the cause of buying Lancashire, and the backdrop of Clitheroe Castle in this historic market town.

We toast our great county again this summer in one of its finest arenas – that of food and beverage excellence and we come to sample, critique, celebrate and commend the finest of our land. Food heroes are quietly created every day of the year but the Food Festival is their encore.

Last year 20,000 visitors came to the festival and enjoyed a great British day out – now in its fifth year, it goes from strength to strength and adapts to its popularity. Firm favorites continue and new ideas are brought alongside. We celebrate ‘World Cuisine’ this year through the mastery of Yu and You, Duk-Pond, Olive Tree Brasserie and ‘Fresh and Fruity’ Italian. Grab a front row seat, book your tickets on line now and experience the passion and skill of our great chefs. It pays to plan, as places are limited.

Children can get stuck in too with their own cookery school presented by the ‘Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ where experience and education collide and a love of food and nutrition begins. Of course, let’s not forget the live music, street food, fun fairs, archery, pop up bars and restaurants at every corner!

So go on line at www.clitheroefoodfestival.com and enter the competition to win a ‘Festival Hamper’ book your favourite demonstration and put Saturday 8th August firmly in your diary. We are going to paint the town purple so come and join the party.
