he country inn that is the White Bull at Alston is honoured to have a fantastic team of expert chefs who have been serving delicious food for over 25 years. The White Bull offers the best in Lancashire produce in a traditional environment with a contemporary twist.
“We believe it is important to support local businesses, therefore all our produce is sourced from local suppliers within a five mile radius,” explains owner Alex Coward.
“Our chefs make all the food fresh on site which is something of which we are incredibly proud.”
The pub boasts a cosy outdoor area perfect for summer al fresco dining and the garden is ideal for summer afternoon lunches or light evenings perfect for a family meal out with children or a catch up with friends. Whether it’s just few drinks or an evening meal, the friendly team at the White Bull are committed to excellent customer service.
The White Bull offers an extensive drinks menu including a range of Thwaites real ales, bespoke draught lagers and a wine list carefully selected by the inn’s sommelier – Miles Corish. Independent wine specialist, Miles works with the team to choose each wine to complement the food on the menu. The variety of wines includes something for every palate.
The large semi private dining area is suitable for every occasion from family gatherings to weddings and funerals the White Bull can cater for any function big or small. Outside catering is also available from a small buffet to a three-course meal.
Throughout summer the White Bull is offering guests the chance to win a free meal! When you dine at the pub you will receive a scratch card, you may bring along the card on your next visit and before paying, scratch the card to reveal which prize you have won! All cards must be scratched in the presence of a member of staff. The card will reveal which prize you have won, this could be 25 per cent, 50 per cent or 100 per cent off your meal.
The inn frequently hosts events and this August the White Bull invites you to their Gourmet Evening on 31st August.
The night will include a four-course meal, each course prepared and cooked by a different chef. The courses will include a starter, meat dish, fish course followed by dessert. Pre-booking is required, please contact the pub for further information and to book.
