Making Plans…

With the announcement that restrictions could be lifted on weddings from 21st June, there has been more than a flurry of interest and enthusiasm from couples who are longing to plan their dream day

As we gradually emerge from the past 12 months, we can start looking ahead – and we can begin to make plans!

If you’ve recently got engaged, or your plans for a 2020 wedding had to be put on hold, you may have spent months in the dark not knowing which venues are going to be open, how many people they can cater for and if they have dates available for your special day!

With the Prime Minister recently announcing his roadmap out of lockdown, which includes new rules for weddings, summer nuptials with unlimited guest will hopefully return as restrictions are lifted from 21st June.

At the moment weddings allow for a capacity of just six since 8th March, but the gradual easing of numbers allowed to attend wedding ceremonies will be increased in a four-step plan that will still see social distancing in place.

Many couples have understandably, found renewed optimism – a popular wedding planner app saw a huge increase in traffic before the site crashed on the evening of Boris Johnson’s announcement. So, if you are planning a wedding, now is definitely the time to start the process in order to secure the venue of your choice and all that goes with it.

Here in the Ribble Valley we have some first class venues – from bijou, boutique hotels to elegant, grand country houses, there’s something to suit everybody. And, they have all used their down-time well – from putting safety measures in place to ensure guests feel comfortable when gatherings can take place, to re-thinking and re-working the venue space to create beautiful, unique rooms and stunning, outdoor spaces.

As we head through spring, summer lies ahead so there’s still time to book an appointment to be shown around numerous venues to find the right one for you.

From finding the perfect dress to fabulous flowers, and everything else in between, now’s the time to draw up that list and start to enjoy planning your wedding – at last!
