Pure Enjoyment

It’s been a cracking start to the year at the Freemasons, Wiswell with a busy restaurant and plenty of overnight guests enjoying the luxury rooms literally next door to the pub, writes Tedd Walmsley

The accolades have continued for the Freemasons, once again securing a top five slot in the recent Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs. Perhaps more importantly, Steven Smith was given the honour of cooking at the awards lunch over in Manchester. This was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate great cooking to a discerning and talented peer group.

With winter almost behind us I’m excited to announce that the next seasonal and tasting menus are available for you to enjoy. I genuinely believe the four-course set lunch/early supper menu to be incredible value at just £32. To enjoy it give yourself time, particularly if like me, lunch is your thing. The snacks and signature bread and butter are delightful – moreish and the perfect start to a leisurely lunch. The new menu is packed with seasonal delights and the 3,3,3 menu has something for everyone. All stunning quality, some lighter options and some stand-out dishes served with the same love and passion as both the signature tasting and a la carte menus.

Talking of new menus, the Freemasons prides itself on having a breadth and variety of choice to match to their customer base, where both regulars and occasional visitors all agree: ‘This food is to die for!’ The Taste of Freemasons menu is the perfect choice to share an evening with friends when good company, food and wine become the perfect combination.

A la carte allows people with different tastes and appetites to mix and match the signature dishes from the talented team in the kitchen.

I’ve recently begun to miss the great restaurants in the Ribble Valley and with our new Lytham base, Liz and I are looking forward to indulging in a foodie getaway. The Freemasons website has a host of exceptional offers for dinner, bed and breakfast and believe me, the breakfast is worth the stay alone!

Events and collaborations are popping up on the calendar and a series of Bank Holidays mean extra Monday opportunities to enjoy all that the pub has to offer this spring.
