The newly refurbished orangery, with its spotless white walls, wedding drapes, apple blossom trees and romantic flickering candles, forms the perfect blank canvas for brides to add their own personal touches.
Gibbon Bridge is a long-standing favourite of many couples who are looking for a venue that they can trust to create their perfect day. Brides and grooms don’t just get a wedding co-ordinator at Gibbon Bridge, they get a whole team of organisers who are dedicated to making your wedding day, and the run up to it, stress free and fun!
Couples who have their wedding at Gibbon Bridge are automatically invited to one of the hotel’s wedding taster evenings, usually held in springtime, when brides and grooms, and their friends and family, can sample various dishes and decide what they would like on their wedding menu, along with perfect wine pairings.
They are greeted with Prosecco and canapes (which they can also choose for their wedding) followed by a selection of delicious dishes that they and their friends can sample in order to decide what will feature on their menu. Whether that’s pork belly with apple and crackling, shin of beef or sausage and mash, the hugely popular sticky toffee pudding or the assiette of desserts, the weddings menus at Gibbon Bridge can be tailor-made to suit you.
Proprietor Janet Simpson and head chef Gary Buxton will be there to discuss your menu requirements and there will be entertainment too with live music and a magician.
Weddings guests get exclusive use of the hotel and its 30 luxury bedrooms, and while most weekends are booked up for 2019, Gibbon Bridge has great value Dream Wedding Packages available Monday to Thursday this year and for 2020.
Many couples and their guests also stay at the hotel the night before the wedding to enjoy an al fresco barbeque in the extensive gardens – the perfect start to the celebrations!
