A ‘MUST VISIT’ DESTINATION!

Bashall Barn is one of the ‘must visit’ foodie destinations whilst you’re here in the Ribble Valley. My family and I have been frequent visitors since its opening back in 2001 during which time we have seen its incredible evolution into the retail, dining and food experience it is today.

As you enter this purpose built facility, temptation isn’t ever far away! The farm shop is brimming with produce most of which is made in their own kitchens for you to take home and enjoy – ready meals, cakes, jams, preserves and so much more too.

My daughters love ice cream and these homemade delicious flavours are very special, from a simple cone to the most decadent of sundaes – all made with love in front of your eyes with the cows on the family farm looking on. The coffee shop uses locally roasted coffees and a selection of teas to complement the wide and ever-changing range of home-baked cakes, scones, treats and toasted buttered teacakes. They are sweet and decadent and extremely popular.

The contemporary restaurant has a light modern feel and is open daily from 9am until 5pm and every day starts serving hearty home cooked traditional breakfasts. The seasonal lunches boast classics such as steak and kidney pie and hot pot, meat and fish platters and a great selection of light bites.

Bashall Barn serves a spectacular afternoon tea with freshly cut finger sandwiches and tasty dainty cakes which as well as being tempting and delicious, are also great value too. The service levels are excellent and a real Ribble Valley welcome is always assured – service with a smile is guaranteed and the flexible dining options throughout the day ensures a great experience for all the family.

With an art gallery, gift shop and even a wonderful array of plants to buy, Bashall Barn offers a great opportunity to sample both the delights of our award winning local produce and also time to indulge in a little retail therapy too. Just five minutes from Clitheroe,10 minutes off the A59 and sitting at the gateway to the Forest of Bowland.
